The Only Magic I Still Believe In Is Love

THE ONLY MAGIC I STILL BELIEVE IN IS LOVE! Why? Because it surrounds us all the time, every moment of every day, and yet sometimes still feels otherworldly. Many days I feel alone and yet connected to the universal source that is All. I've always been a self-identified hopeless romantic, typical nice guy, who would happily search the world over for true love. However, after traveling alone on multiple occasions I've decided that I want something more! Something that transcends my own ego. It reminds me of the Daft Punk song Within.

"Hiding for some time. Looking for someone. I need to know now, please tell me who I am."

I spend so many waking hours building my legacy as a photographer that I sometimes lose sight of what really matters in life; true human connection. Heart to heart. It's like searching in the darkness for a love light, the sunshine in her eyes, walking aimlessly without a purpose, until you finally find it, and the world opens up to infinite possibilities! There are days when I feel empty and lost, yet the pursuit of happiness always continues. Who's to say where this road of dreams will lead... I'm constantly struggling to become the truest version of myself. The quest for wealth is a roadblock to true lasting happiness. My ultimate dream is to travel the world taking photos for National Geographic or a similar organization whose mission aligns with my quest to capture the beauty in this world before its lost to global climate change! This is a lofty goal but I always remain hopeful that it's achievable. It requires lots of practice and the right connections just like any pursuit in life. Sometimes my ambitions get the better of me, although I will always remain true to a kind heart on my way to the top!

In the meantime, I'm growing my legacy in the beautiful city of Austin, Texas, which will be my home base for many years into the future. It was ranked #1 Best City to Live In for yet another year. I'm lucky to have so many amazing, conscious, talented friends here, and it's one of the reasons I continually return to the "Emerald City".

I recently captured a truly unique historic image over the Capitol Women's March. It has become my claim to fame. If I show the photo to a random person on the street, chances are high they'll recognize it in astonishment. It goes without saying that this iconic photo wouldn't have been possible without the incredible organizers and protestors that made it all possible. Now I'm trying to figure out how to keep up the momentum and get more involved with the growing uprising against a corrupt government system. I intend to be at the forefront to capture and participate in these iconic moments regardless of the circumstances! Some artists scream their lyrics on a microphone, but a photo is worth a thousand words, preserved for posterity!

Follow your passion and the money will follow. This is uttered so often it has almost become a platitude. Yet I've never been particularly interested in personal wealth. It's essential for survival but I want something more! Notoriety for a greater cause. Remember the name!

So, how do you become a household name in your chosen craft? The world is changing fast; you better keep up if you want to remain relevant! If your business isn't on the first page of Google, it might as well not exist. I'm certainly not there yet. At my current rate, it's going to take at least another year. Patience is a virtue. Check out my blog post Top 10 Tips to Rank in Search Results.

Sometimes life can feel like a constant uphill struggle with no end in sight. There's a strong inner voice that says true love will make the burden of being human easier to carry, but your mind-body withholds from expressing our ultimate purpose on Earth. I leave it up to your imagination what that is. We all die alone in the end. It's far better to have loved and lost than never loved at all!

"All we are is dust in the wind. Nothing lasts forever but the earth and sky. It slips away. And all your money won't another minute buy."
