Top 5 Best Coffee Shops in Austin, Texas

I'm relatively new to the coffee-drinking craze. However, coffee shops have been my second home for years, and there's no shortage of options to choose from among the creative entrepreneurs and artists in Austin, Texas. So without further ado, here's a few of my favorite coffee shops in Austin. Enjoy reading!

1. Mozart's Coffee

This has been my favorite coffee shop for many years. I still remember coding my first mobile app in the late night hours under candlelight feeling inspired by mansions on the hill across the river. Enjoy the beautiful scenery right on Lake Austin. There's a wide selection of specialty coffee and chocolate delights. It's always a cozy environment with plenty of outdoor seating for beautiful sunny days in Austin. This place is a popular hangout amongst college students. Make sure to show up early if you want to find indoor seating. Enjoy live music throughout the week and a magnificent display of lighting before Christmas.

2. Radio Coffee & Beer

Delicious coffee, tea, and a wide selection of local craft brews to chose from makes Radio Coffee a top choice. This is partially why it was voted the #1 coffee shop three years running by Austin Chronicle. There's also a fun activity every night of the week. I typically hang out with friends on Bluegrass Night every Monday. No wifi after 4pm to encourage good conversation and relaxation. Hungry? Enjoy tacos, chips and salsa from Veracruz Food Truck. Plenty of parking and outdoor seating available. Dog friendly of course! In short, a little something for everyone.

3. Jo's Coffee

This is probably the most iconic coffee shop in Austin. It is frequently surrounded by tourists taking photos in front of the "I Love You So Much" sign featured on the side. It's also located directly across from the famous live music bar Continental Club. Enjoy breathtaking views of the Capitol looking straight down South Congress. This truly is one of my favorite spots to laptop on a beautiful day. It helps that I frequently get free Iced Turbo drinks from a friend who works there.

East Austin Neighborhood Patio Cafe. Cenote serves coffee, beer, wine, and a full food menu made with locally sourced, organic ingredients. This is a relaxing spot for meetings and creative work. There's covered patios with plenty of parking along the street.
